Black Talk!, his Prestige debut, turns 'More Today Than Yesterday' and even 'Eleanor Rigby' into greasy organ-funk workouts, with a young Idris Muhammad on drums and Houston Person on tenor. It earned him the nickname the Mighty Burner for a reason.
