Cymande were a British band of Caribbean heritage who fused funk, reggae, jazz, and African rhythm into a sound they called nyah-rock. Second Time Round, their second album, carries the slow-burning 'Fug' and a deep, dubby low end years ahead of its time. American crate diggers and hip-hop producers found them long before British radio did.
