Mid-Air Thief (공중도둑) is a pseudonymous South Korean musician who has never shown his face, never performed live, and refuses to disclose his name or age. Crumbling (무너지기), his 2018 second album, is a swirling masterpiece of Korean folktronica — acoustic guitar and organic textures dissolving into electronic haze, with vocals from singer Summer Soul. 'Gameun Deut' (감은 듯) is one of its most hypnotic passages, building and unravelling in a way that blurs the line between the organic and the synthetic. The album won Best Dance & Electronic Album at the 2019 Korean Music Awards and built a devoted international cult following.
