Cambodian Rocks is one of the rarest and most important compilations in world music — a 1996 collection of Cambodian rock and roll from the golden era of the 1960s and early 1970s, pressed in only about 700 copies. The artists here — Yol Aularong, Sinn Sisamouth (also in this crate), Pan Ron, and others — created a music scene of extraordinary sophistication before the Khmer Rouge seized power in 1975 and systematically killed most of Cambodia’s artists.
