White Shoes & The Couples Company emerged from Jakarta in 2005 as one of the most distinctive bands in Southeast Asian indie music. Their sound drew on 1960s Indonesian pop, French ye-yé, and a production sensibility that felt simultaneously vintage and completely contemporary. Senandung Maaf became their signature song — a delicate, swaying melody over brushed drums and warm guitar. The Topstar Collection gathers highlights from their first decade.
